2 models of Test Signal Generator, conforming with the Chinese GB20600-2006 Digital Television Terrestrial Broadcasting Standard and supporting with all its Transmission Modes, to go on sale.

ShibaSoku is to put on sale 2 models of TV signal generator that support all the transmission modes of the SAC GB20600-2006 terrestrial digital broadcasting standard used in China.
The GB20600-2006 standard represents a merging of the multi-carrier mode proposed by Beijing Tsinghua University and the single-carrier mode proposed by Shanghai Jiaotong Daxue. The functions of the signal generator that ShibaSoku could have previously supported were limited to the products using the multi-carrier mode released in June 2006.
The new products to be released include key technology able to support both multi-carrier and single-carrier modes of the GB20600-2006 standard, allowing TV and STB reception tests for all transmission modes (altogether 330).
Terrestrial digital broadcasting has already started on a trial basis in some areas of China. In the run up to broadcasting of next year’s Beijing Olympics, the development of products supporting terrestrial digital broadcasting is an area of fierce competition amongst TV and component makers.
Since the start of the year, there have been strong demands from a lot of these makers (the TV and component makers mentioned above) for measuring equipment makers, including ShibaSoku, to quickly produce TV signal generators that can output all modes for the GB20600-2006 standard.
Now, ShibaSoku is to put two new models, in the DS303B and DS13A series, on sale.
The DS303B series supports multiple terrestrial digital broadcasting formats as used in Japan, America, Europe, China, etc. We will be offering a new DS303B series model containing a modulator option that supports both multi-carrier and single-carrier modes (model DS303A215).
DS13A series models each support 1 digital broadcast format. The DS13A series consists of a line up of 7 models including the new one, DS13A7. |
