VC39A HDTV Standards Converter: Shibasoku The VC39A is an HDTV format converter that, through its highly accurate motion compensation technology utilizing motion vectors, converts HDTV formats with different frame rates and minimizes jerkiness even with fast moving images. Supports HDTV 4 formats

The VC39A is an HDTV Cross Converter that supports 4 kinds of HDTV formats of 1080/59.94i, 1080/50i, 720/59.94p and 720/50p.
Motion compensation utilizing motion vectors

While converting the frame, motion vectors are utilized to make smooth motion compensation, minimizing the jerkiness and deterioration for moving picture sharpness.
Minimizes resolution deterioration

The VC39A detects moving pictures in the input picture images and minimizes resolution deterioration using appropriate interpolation between fields in still picture areas and within a field in moving picture areas.
Equipped with enhancer function

It is equipped with an enhancer function for image correction. With this enhancer the image correction volume can be individually set to horizontal/vertical. In addition, horizontal boost frequency can be selected.
Supports Dolby E audio

By including a Dolby E option, Dolby E compressed audio can be transmitted. It is equipped with Dolby E decoder and Dolby E encoder functions.
Supports embedded audio and AES/EBU audio

It supports 16-channel 48 kHz 24-bit embedded audio signals synchronous to the video clock and synchronized 8-channel 48 kHz AES/EBU audio signals between each channel. In addition, from SDI input, the de-embedded audio signal can be output to the AES/EBU output port. The AES/EBU audio input can be embedded in the SDI output.
Display for alarms and their remote transmission

The device has signal alarm and fan alarm detection functions. When any of these alarms are activated, it is indicated on the front panel LCD area and the LED (red). In addition, an alarm buzzer will sound. At the same time, alarm contact point (normally it is open;) is closed. It is sent through pins 1 and 6 of the Alarm terminal on the rear panel.
Remote control

The RS-485 interface enables external remote control.
